Would you CARE to change my life?

You can make a difference, by assuring a needy child the basic supports, education and encouragement. Your $360 a year will change a life!

OCAT : ONE CHILD AT A TIME

India is home to the largest number of children in the world; 400 million below the age of 18. Shockingly, about 60 million of these children have no childhood at all. Stepping into adult life at a very early age, they grow up malnourished, uneducated and exploited: child trafficking, child labor, sexual abuse…these tragic possibilities are real. Children are the most vulnerable members of society and their vulnerability is ruthlessly exploited. OCAT sponsorships can end exploitation and radically change the lives of India’s poorest children. For just $30 a month ($360 annually), you can assure a poor, disadvantaged or orphaned child, safety, education, nutrition and clothing. Your funds, payable monthly quarterly or annually, will make a world of difference to a needy child. Most importantly, once connected to OCAT, your sponsored child receives caring oversight and personal attention.

MAKING YOU

FULLY HUMAN, FULLY ALIVE.

An old man was walking along the beach very early in the morning. He saw a young man ahead of him picking up starfish and flinging them into the sea.

Catching up with the young man he asked him what he was doing. “The starfish will die if they are still on the beach when the sun comes up,” the young man said.

“But the beach goes on for miles and there are millions of starfish,” replied the old man. “How can your little effort make any difference?” The young man looked at the little starfish in his hand then smiled. As he threw it safely into the waves, he said, “Yes, there are millions and I can’t make a difference to all of them… but I can make a difference to this one.”

We are guilty of many errors and many faults,

But our worst crime is abandoning the children,

Neglecting the fountain of life.

Many things we need can wait.

But the child cannot. Right now is the time:

His bones are being formed,

His senses are being developed,

His blood is being made.

To him, we cannot answer “Tomorrow”,

His name is “Today.” Gabriela Mistral (Chilean Poet 1889-1957)
